Hello my friends. I do trust this finds you well, and having enjoyed Easter this year. I certainly did – taking the opportunity after being with my church family in a service of Resurrection celebration, to head off into the sunshine and the mountains. Saw all the tops with beautiful blue sky…. and five minutes later…. down came the cloud cover and they all disappeared! How fast things change there in the mountains – no wonder people train there for climbing in the Himalayas! So, what else have I been up to in the past fortnight? Not a huge amount is the answer… but here are my efforts…

… made a birthday card

… finally gave the poor wee lad on the right a head, hat and bobble! Then finished the boy on the left. Really getting somewhere now.

… agreed with Julia when she sent me this jigsaw, that it was incredible fun to do! It was. If anyone in Britain fancies having a go at this… let me know and I will post it on to you.

… and that, folks, is about the sum total of my creativity this past two weeks. I have managed to do a bit of knitting, but not a great deal – back and front of the sweater are done, and I am halfway up the first sleeve. A lot of my time has been spent with my head in study books, as I was asked if I could expand the devotions I had done, to become more “chapter ” than two pages… phew! It was like writing my thesis all over again – and that was done 50 years ago!!!

So that’s me done this week, folks – just a photo of this glorious country where I live!! NOT taken last Sunday, but a couple of years ago. A small waterfall dropping down from the mountain into Llyn Ogwen.

Do take care of yourselves. I will endeavour to visit everyone. I do come peek at those on twitter… but am unable to comment because I don’t do the social media thingies – but I assure you I peek! God bless each one of you.

  1. Morning Margaret and a belated Happy Easter. Glad you are able to get out and about again and hoping the view lasts a little longer for you next time. The cross stitch is really coming on. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #7

  2. Greetings Margaret. How lovely to be able to celebrate Easter in beautiful surroundings. We had roast dinner in our back garden on Sunday with my daughter & her boyfriend. We were defo blessed with the sunshine. You have been busy with your craftiness. We have just finished The Sistine Chapel jigsaw – it was a mighty task. Take care, with love & hugs, Sue #8

  3. I could not believe it when I asked Alexa what the weather was on Sunday and it said SNOW. Blimey. Love the mountain waterfall – so beautiful – and your cross stitch is coming along wonderfully well. Nice to see the figures so nearly complete. The jigsaw is fab – I plan to drag one out once we have all had our 2nd jabs – sounds weird, I know, but daughter is in school and I am just off shielding so we keep our distance even in the house and she has claimed the dining room table as her own. That’s my puzzle place! Stay well…
    Happy WOYWW day!

  4. Morning Margaret!! Your last photo looks like a\ painting – absolutely stunning! Well done you for the cross stitch and card but also for doing some serious writing – I am not sure I could write more than a page these days!! Would love to try that puzzle if that’s an option, it looks fun – happy to pay the postage, let me know. Have a great week, stay well, stay safe, love n hugs Cindy #16 xx

  5. Ooh, Margaret, you are tempting me with that lovely photo. How I long to be in Wales and the drive to Betwsy which was one of my favourites when we had the place in Treaddur.
It must have been lovely to be back at church and celebrating the Resurrection, Such an important date in the Christian calendar.
The cross stitch is looking whole now with the figures all completed, is there more to do? Looks fine as it is to me.
You take care and stay safe and well
    Blessings, Ne et 4 xx

  6. You’ve been kept busy then by all sorts of things! That jigsaw is fab, lots of detail to hook onto, that’s the sort that builds up quickly. I have a pile to start but been too busy doing other things! The cross stitch is really coming along, it looks great, you got the hat onto the little boy just in time for the snow, lol!!
    Hugs LLJ 15 xx

  7. I would say yes to the jigsaw but I have one waiting to be done from a friend back in January!! Son has now got a job and as he’s working from home M-F the front room where I usually do jigsaws is even less available now. I joined a Facebook group about wildlife ponds hence the addition of sticks and log etc. They are super friendly and I have learnt a great deal including the watercress hack. I am so thankful for social media and technology as I get older so useful and helpful. Thanks for the visit BJ#5

  8. Happy WOYWW. No snow down here, but it is colder. I have been keeping inside and getting on with housework/crafting/watching tv. Love that jigsaw. Would like to have a go, if noone else wants it – and will then pass it on afterwards. (My email is aliwadedesigns1971@gmail.com) Ali x #23

  9. That is a gorgeous landscape shot – you do live in a beautiful part of the country! I can see why the jigsaw if fun – so many little details to look at! The cross stitch is coming along nicely and you have plenty of time to finish it by Christmas. Enjoy your week, Margaret! xx zsuzsa #21

  10. It’s so lovely to hear life is getting closer to normal for you…at least you’re able to enjoy the things that are important to you. Stay safe my friend.

  11. Hi Margaret, that’s a great looking Jigsaw puzzle. I am trying to clear the dining room table (still!) and then I might be able to start the ones I got at Christmas! yes I said Christmas and I know I should feel guilty that they’ve not even been out of the boxes yet. Loving the cards and the beautiful photo too. Sending big hugs and wishing you a very happy and creative woyww, Angela x17x

  12. Happy Belated Easter! We have that jigsaw down at Mum’s – it kept us all entertained for ages. We didn’t go into church for Easter sadly – our first in person service is 18 April and I can’t wait. We did have a live streamed service on YouTube followed by coffee and chat over zoom which was nice. Happy WOYWW. Take care and stay safe. With love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#14)

  13. Glad you had a great Resurrection Day celebration! Cool birthday card and I agree that the puzzle looks fun! Your counted cross stitch is coming along nicely! Hope you have a wonderful week and thanks for popping by!

  14. My husband would love that jigsaw if it is still available please. Let me know the postage costs and I will send it to you. That is a beautiful view. Happy WOYWW and have a great week Angela #6

  15. Good Morning Margaret, I love that scene shot you shared and the colors in the puzzle are really fun and cheerful to view. Love all the shimmers on the card too 🙂 ~Stacy #26

  16. Hello Margaret
Thanks for popping by. I’m hoping the drystone wall doesn’t collapse. The ivy has been there so long the roots are so thick it could pull it down.
You’ve had a nice variety of stuff in your desk this week.
Take care and have a good week.

  17. That’s a very unusual card, Margaret, and your cross stitch project is coming along splendidly. What a beautiful Welsh view, too. Thank you for your visit – I am steaming ahead very nicely with applying the embellishments to the squares on the cat blanket now, and have completed that first strip that I joined up a few weeks ago. I have to grab every opportunity I can when my hubby is out or has gone up to bed!

    Happy WOYWW and God bless,
    Shoshi x #20

  18. I need to get my act together and send you photos of other puzzles, am not sure where I am with sending …don’t want to start sending them back to you! I’m very into feathers at the mo, so I particularly like that die cut on your fab card. Full of admiration for your expanding the devotions…thesis like or not, it requires a real focus that actually, lockdown has not really demanded. Must be lovely to know that if you want to, it’s now OK to jump in the car and erm, head for the hills!

  19. Your little cross stitch picture is looking lovely – it’s good to see how you progress each week. I bet its been great to be able to travel a bit more – although if you have had the cold, cold snow that we had a few days ago it’s not quite so tempting is it. I am getting excited at the thought of going for a haircut on Monday!!! xx Jo

  20. The cross stitch is coming on nicely and that jigsaw looks great fun!
Love the picture of the little waterfall. Always loved that part of North Wales!
    Happy WOYWW!

I have three jigsaws in waiting 🙂
Also have crosstich but not sure re my eyes now.
Would love to visit Wales, the sea etc. Really miss seeing the sea. Take care. Anne x 29

  22. Hi Margaret, your cross stitch is coming on well. It’s so true about British mountain weather, four seasons in one day. Your photo is lovely.
I don’t do jigsaws myself but that one looks a doosie!
    Take care
    Hugs

  23. It’s lovely to see your cross stitch developing over the weeks. I normally squeak at your jigsaws because they are far too hard for me but this one I could really enjoy with the variety of colours. I’m assuming someone has claimed it so I’ll have to go on the list for the round robin! Belated visit but still, stay safe and keep smiling, Lisa-Jane #9

  24. Good morning, Margaret
I’m here. Been a busy week after losing a day (along with my keys) last week lol. Love that puzzle. i must show that pic to my sister. She’s been doing puzzles recently. We’ve even started doing them on our phone. You have beautiful countryside. Thank you for sharing! Good luck on your studies. Creative Blessings & Hugs! ~Kelly #24
