WOYWW600

Hello my friends. Well, what can we say… Firstly, an enormous thank you to our Julia for having the bright idea of photographing our workspaces all those years ago. Who would have thought, that, 10 years later, it would still be so incredibly popular; that so many of us would gather each week to gaze at one another’s messy or tidy spaces.
I haven’t been in the group since its inception, but have been around for nearly 8 of the 10, beginning with just peeping, then being brave enough to make a few comments, then to actually have a site myself where I, too, could photograph what I was up to and receive comments. During those almost 8 years I thank you for your friendship and support. You are a great bunch, being there for folks when they are struggling, and there to rejoice with people. You send cards, gifts, ATCs; you encourage, laugh and cry together. The picture above shows just a few of the ATCs and gifts I have received over the years. Thank you.
The very first blog I ever commented on was Patsy’s in the Philippines. Remember her? She used to have a giveaway of one of her paintings to one of the folks who commented. I couldn’t believe it when, that first week, I won! What a treat.

Over the years I have had the privilege and delight of meeting many of you – in your work spaces, in cafes, in garden centres, even, Shaz in Oz, in an airport, at a railway station, and at crops.

Thanks, Julia, for bringing us all together. Have a great day with all your zooming on Saturday!! Thanks everyone for your friendship.
Take care. God bless you mightily!
Margaret.
Happy WOYWW!! good to see the previous crop pics again. We’ve certainly seen good times and bad during the last 10-11 years but Julia has kept us all going! Helen #1
Looking forward to being able to meet up properly again Margaret. I have been joining in for only 5 years yet have made many friends here. Happy 600th WOYWW Sarah #5
You certainly went all out, Margaret. What a great 600th and a great first time you joined in. I am so impressed with what you created this week. Happy 600th from #6.
I can’t wait till we can meet and craft in a room together again! This has been a bleak year but Wednesday is always a little ray of sunshine! Nice to see your photos os crops past, I think I spotted me in one. And yes, I do remember Patsy. Lucky you to win such a fab piece. And all those ATCs too. Such memories, and time to make some more. .
Happy happy Woyww!

Well done on the desk picture.
I am so glad I wrote to you and suggested you hosted the crops down in Llandudno, a lovely place to visit and so wonderful of your church to accommodate us. But we had already met by then hadn’t we, when you first surprised me by coming to one of the shows I was working at. How lovely it was to meet with you and John back in those days. And so many times too, including a surprise one in the town centre!
Margaret your kindness and friendship has meant so much over the years and your Christmas card is the first one we received this year. I hope we get to meet up again before you move homes.
Take care and God Bless You

Hi Margaret, great post and lovely memories there for lots of woyww members. Love how you’ve arranges the ATCs too, very appropriate. Take care and have a very happy 600th woyww, Angela x19x
I’ve actually remembered to link up this week! I post and then the day begins . . .
Thank you for your friendship, love and prayers. It’s good to know that we are not alone in the physical sense. I remember a priest once telling me that we all need to hear the human voice and that’s why there is confession.
Have a good week and stay warm and safe

Not been about since the start but enjoy the friendship and comments I have received in the time i have been here
It’s a lovely post Margaret, and I’m struggling to get my head around your being 8 years in the knowing. My how time flies! It amazes me that you were nervous in the beginning and just leaving a few comments after a while of looking. And then, hosting two crops.! The shape of WOYWW wouldn’t be the same without you.
Such a lovely display of WOYWW goodies and a great way to celebrate this amazing anniversary. I hope one day we can meet in person,
Stay safe,
Diana xx

What a lovely tribute, Margaret! I like your idea of making a 600 from all the ATCs received over the years! I do remember Patsy and her wonderful paintings – I wonder how she’s doing! I’ve spotted myself in one of those crop photos – I’m so glad I was able to pop in and meet some of you in person that day! Hope we can do it again some time! xx zsuzsa #34
Margaret, I LOVE what you did with your cards in the first photo!! Like you, I haven’t been a part since the inception, but have been involved maybe about 5 years, but have enjoyed every minute!! You guys are some wonderful crafty ladies! I’m so jealous that you guys have met up and been able to enjoy one another, but so happy for you all that are able to do so. Wish I could have Zoomed but was detained with Thanksgiving festivities!! Maybe next time!! Have a wonderful Wednesday, Felicia, #39
HI Margaret, happy Big 6-0-0!! What a lovely photo, and so good to read about your happy memories of WOYWW over the years, it really is quite something isn’t it? Cheerio for now xOx Annie C #35
Hello, Margaret!
So cool how you arranged your ATCs! Well, this is only my second hop but I do hope that Julia will keep this going for another eleven years!
It is great that you have been able to get together!
Hugz,
Chana Malkah
I was so upset we weren’t able to meet this year – I had a whole holiday planned around it!! Still here’s hoping for 2021! I think I remember Patsy – beautiful artwork and Bible journalling as I recall. All those ATCs! I shall be having a look through my album before Saturday, I have just this year got them all sorted. Happy 600th WOYWW, have a good week, stay well stay safe, Cindy xx #30
Hi Margaret, it has been lovely getting to know everyone in the short time since I joined the WOYWW gang – Aug 2017. Happily I managed to attend two crops and meet you in person – and I’m sure we will meet again soon. I love how you have displayed the ATCs – I really must put mine in frames and display them in my craft room- they are too lovely to be hidden away in a box. Happy 600th WOYWW and have a lovely week, Heather xx #25
What a lovely trip down memory lane, Margaret, and I love your imaginative display of WOYWW gifts in the shape of “600” – great stuff! Also the lovely group photos. You are one of a select few that I have been privileged to meet in person, and my goodness, I remember the first time at the craft show, meeting you and John and what fun we all had together! I am so looking forward to the Zoom meeting on Saturday because it gives the likes of me who can’t travel and who lives almost falling off the bottom of the country, the chance to meet everyone properly even if not literally in person.
Thank you for your visit – I’m pleased to have finished the last needle book. The cat throw is progressing pretty well – fortunately crochet grows really quickly so I may actually get it done in time!
Happy WOYWW 600 and God bless,
Shoshi x #29
Love your 600 representation wth your ATCs! Lovely to see all those familiar faces in your photos too! I do hope there’s a crop next year! Hugs, Chrisx 44
Thinking back to our first posts does bring back memories! I have met one WOYWWer from my area (who quit joining in years ago) and who knows… maybe I’ll get the opportunity to meet more! But I feel I’ve made many internet friends! Thanks for popping by and have a wonder 600th anniversary! (Doesn’t that sound weird…. LOL!)

Hi Margaret, happy 600th. Your so right about what a marvellous idea it was of Julia’s, such a fab meeting place for us all and one where we’ve made so many lovely friends. Love your 600 made of cards/ATCs too. If your Zooming on Saturday enjoy the crop. Hugs, Elizabeth x #36
Look at all those cards !!!
Pasty’s cards are fabulous I am lucky to have a few too.
HAPPY 600 hugs Nikki #47
HI Margaret, oh YAY that he got your computer up and running again until you can open your Christmas gift 🙂 Love that you have such a fun collection of art too. ~Stacy #600
Hi Margaret, a happy 600th WOYWW to you. It was lovely to meet up with you and Camilla at Abakhan. Sadly this year has put paid to any idea of visiting anybody. I was making the books as gifts, but I don’t think the recipients will use them. I find myself itching to fill them with photographs, so going to make a couple more. Possibly more handbag size. Sending love Angela #42
What a lot of exciting WOYWW items to share!
As a newbie to WOYWW – only 25 desks – I am so impressed that you have all reached 600!
Happy 600th WOYWW!

Great post! I feel the same. I may never meet any of you but I still call you all my friends. Such a wonderful 600 anniversary! Thanks for sharing my crafty life with me. Have a great week. Dorlene #41
Hi Margaret! Happy 600! I love your photos of all the deskers who get to meet up each year, unfortunately that was never in the cards for me, until this year! 2020 was good for something! I love the thought of you sitting cozily knitting something warm – my craft room is a good 5° colder than the rest of the house! Thanks for sharing, have a great week! I will be at the 5:30 zoom meeting on Saturday, so I hope to get to meet you! Lindart #40
HI Margaret, its an old retired stamp from a co. called Stamps Happen. the sentiment is part of the heart wreath, I did a search on ebay and found one so you could see what the stamp it self looks like. ( hopefully this works)
