Hello my friends. I do trust this finds you well. Unusually brief this week, as life is a little pressured. My desk shows very little…

A box I am attempting to make, but keep breaking off to do other things, so goodness only knows how long the little thing may take to make! I have been looking for some box dies for a long time – and finally found some – and, as my family would like money for Christmas, I thought I would make boxes to put it in! At this rate it will be ready for Christmas 2025…

I haven’t been entirely idle. This is the latest blanket. The squares have been knitted and crocheted by people across Britain, and I simply put it together. At the top left of the photo is my birthday present from daughter number 2 and her family. That wooden lamp – my son in law designed the celtic leaf patterns, then had a friend laser cut it all out, and ta-da!, two lamps for my birthday. I love them.
Thought I would show you just a couple of the Christmas card designs I have used this year – showing off, really, but I hope you will bear with that…

Sorry about the price tag on the second one. This has gone to the hotel!! They actually close for the season at the end of the week, so I shall go see if there are any cards left for me to bring home. Certainly, when I was in there last week, there were not too many – which is good!
So, that’s me this week, folks. All upside down, trying to remember everything I have to do, adding constantly to my to-do list… just like everyone else at this time of year, really.
Take care my friends. God bless.
Margaret
The cards are beautiful! Good luck with the gift box making! it will be worth it in the end -nothing worse than giving money in something plain! Have a (busy) week! Helen #4
Hope you manage to get round to the box making this week Margaret. What lovely lamps! The Christmas cards are great. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #5
If I know you you will have those boxes done for the money in next to no time – you are a champ at making lots of things in a short time.
The blanket is great – that will be very welcome for someone as the weather has turned so cold – I find I need a rug for my knees at times – even with central heating.
Love the Christmas cards – who makes the stamp used in the first one – I know someone who would love that card.
God Bless

What a thoughtful and truly lovely present those lamps were!! Isn’t ti wonderful to have such a lovely family, worth more than all the gold in the world xx. Good luck with the box dies, that’s the sort of thing that I’m very ham-fisted with but they can make such a difference when gifting money/vouchers etc.

Great idea for the Christmas money to go into little handmade boxes! Lovely how the the crocheted squares for the blanket came from different parts of the country! Happy belated birthday – those lamps are the perfect personal present for you, very thoughtful I would say! Lovely cards too – I bet there won’t be many left at the hotel. Thanks for popping in earlier, Margaret, Have a great week! xx zsuzsa #15

Hi Margaret, all sounds familiar, there is always something getting in the way of crafting. The box looks interesting and I hope we get to see it when it’s finished. Wishing you a very happy woyww, Angela x11x
I’m intrigued by the box-making equipment – scalpel, tweezers… Will look forward to post-op pics! Love the jolly patchwork blanket, a real labour of love.

I love that first Christmas card ‘The prince of peace’ are the stamps still available. I am always looking for religious stamps as people from church ask for these Christmas cards. Like the idea of the boxes so much better than an envelope. Have a busy week. Ani#1
Hi sis, well thanks for your visit and prayers for meds, really appreciated. It’s a daily self administration of injection and a lady flying here next week to medical rooms to show me how to use them.
Have been on two trials before doing it, One was super easy, second one not. They say this one is like first one, so I pray so, and that has same results which were brilliant. The needles are not fun but worth it if successful.
Love your room and found today the wee colouring piece I did there with long floral stamp today..
Uncarded, as yet but found as was using our gold silver I bought with you … say “ours” cos bought you one of each from memory for your birthday .
First stamp image is amazing fancy finding it be like that. Or maybe you did it on computer? Very clever with all names of our Saviour..
Thanks for Sharing, God bless, hugs Shaz in Oz.x #18 I think.

Hi Margaret! I love the lighting on your desk. It beautiful. So cloudy and gloomy here. I like both cards but the second one is my favorite. And the blanket is a treat for my eyes! Love all the vibrant colors. I like that many hands contribute to it’s creation. Thanks for the visit and have a wonderful weekend!

Sorry I’m late. A bit concerned that you’re so busy you haven’t time to finish a box…on the basis that you are extraordinarily generous with your time, I hope you aren’t under pressure Miss Margaret, from being taken advantage of. Bossy aren’t I! Love the birthday lamps, what a marvellous gift. And showing a couple of gorgeous Christmas cards isnt showing off. It helps, actually!
