Hello, my friends. You have NO idea how proud I feel this week – yes… I know… pride is a sin… sorry! But just look at this…
my desk this week!
Despite working really hard, making chaos, and producing yet more cards – after each session I have tidied up! Consequently, the desk looks almost as neat as it did last week. So, from the left – my CD player (I’m going through all my CDs – if I can create when they are playing, they stay – if not, they head to the charity shop – John and I had totally different musical tastes); all drawers and boxes back in their unit; my binoculars and bird book (lots of beautiful birds out there in the field opposite); green basket beginning to look delightfully full ready to visit the hotel in a fortnight, with a box beneath filled with gift boxes; my bits box of tools; paper, card, stencils all up on the shelf, embossing powders; day lamp; baby wipes, paper roll, garden in a teacup, and bag of sweets (essential to creativity);DST and glue dots on the stands up on the shelf; inks; and the very edge of that white basket (still neat and tidy). WOW! How long will it last – this frantic tidying? No idea, but whilst the urge stays, I’ll go with it – makes creating so much easier!
So, I’ve knitted, done a jigsaw, made cards, sang in the worship group (didn’t lead this week – phew – a week off), and watched some murder mysteries. And here are some of the results!
Faye Whitaker artwork this week – and some photographic images – all my own to avoid any copyright issues. I have made more – but don’t wish to bore you rigid!
So, that’s me this week. A week Friday a few of us are all going to the craft show at the Manchester arena – anyone else going? If so, do let me know, and perhaps we can have a panad together. (That’s a Welsh cuppa)
Take care each od you – thanks so much for all your visits and comments – they are so lovely.
God bless.
Margaret

You are a tornado when you are crafting/making/doing things. So I think you are entitled to have a little sin once in a while if it is only pride at what you have done/achieved. Take care Bessings Neet 7 Thanks for visiting me whilst I was sleeping xxx

Hi .Margaret, goodness me! So productive and yet so tidy, that is very disciplined of you and I would be proud of myself too. I’ve seen some lovely ideas online for turning unwanted cds into various projects, maybe that would be fun to try if you have any you don’t want? Like for example people make them into decorative hangings and even little books, might be worth a go. I am away from home this week so not linking up for WOYWW but just saying hello anyway! Have a good week. Annie C xxx

I love the look of a clean desk; oddly, I can’t create until it gets messy! LOL! That’s a great idea to sort out your CD collection. My Hubby started (note..s-t-a-r-t-e-d) copying ours onto the computer–well, his; but he didn’t last long; now we are just buying the digital versions! Still have the CD’s though; I should start sorting them out as well. (I think I have all versions of Jethro Tull’s Thick as a brick: Album, 8-track, Cassette, CD and MP3 file! LOL) Just reading that sounds bad; need to get rid of the 8-track and cassette! Have a great week! -K #29

I am so impressed with how tidy everything looks Margaret, YAY for you 🙂 and that sounds like a good plan for the music collection. I have the bulk of mine on an classic ipod so, I don’t fiddle with the disc’s much and just rotate the playlists around. Stacy #32

You have been busy! You have some lovely cards there and to have made all those and more is certainly some achievement – and I totally agree about using own photographs, it’s so much easier than worrying about copyright – your nature ones are lovely, especially with the little phrase which is perfect for them. Hope you have a good week, Diana x #20

Hi Margaret, enjoy the show, there is always so much to tempt us at them! We’ll be going to Port Sunlight for Happy Stampers in May, have you ever been to that one? I shall get these cards made up, then go do some stamping, feels like ages since I have. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #8 XxX

Ahhh, you’ve seen the light of tidying after each session! That’s how I usually work, I cannot create when my desk is full so that’s why my desk always looks so clean and organized. It’s lovely to start that way isn’t it? Good luck keeping it that way 😉 I LOVE the cards you created, all so different. Great job! Thanks for visiting my blog earlier, happy woyww and a big hug from Holland, Marit #24

Wow. Just Wow! I wonder if the mood will stay with you as it’s such a satisfying thing? When you step back from a session f craft and your desk looks like this…why would it change! You are still busy busy, and I love your criteria for the music. That’s real multi tasking that is!!

I’d be proud too! I must admit, I do tidy up after each project because I just can’t bear a messy desk and searching for stuff! You’ve had a great week with all your activities – I did a jigsaw too, a view of Tobermory which was MUCH easier than the previous one. Enjoy the show in Manchester!! Hugs LLJ 13 xxxx

Morning Margaret, I’d love to have a pand with you next Friday but will unfortunately be a t work. I do love those Faye Whitaker images; I must look out some of the stamps that i have of her illustrations. Good for you for keeping tidy. I must admit that I do the same; it is much easier to find stuff when you need it and getting up to put things away keeps you active lol. Happy WOYWW Sarah #18

Most impressed that you’re keeping it tidy, Margaret 🙂 I tidied under my desk this week, and culled a load of old magazines and papers… The art cupboard’s next, though, so yes, I’m stalling… Happy WOYWW! no. 5
