Hello my friends. I trust this finds you well, and in less of a tizzy than I find myself! I go off on Friday for my “summer” holiday – which includes a craft course (pergamano), and then time with my whole family for half term. I shall be visiting crafty friends too – Shoshi, and Sarah – so I’m really looking forward to the whole time. But – the house looks like a bomb site as I try to prepare and not leave anything behind – my to-do list gets longer each time I cross something off – and the hotel are desperate for more cards before I go (I only gave them a couple of dozen a week ago!). Oh well, Friday will arrive, I will leave at the prescribed time, and simply ignore what isn’t done…
Well, I did warn you! Bottom right, a brief peek at my never ending to-do list, the orange bowl contains water and stencils I have used, waiting to be cleaned, a plastic box of tear drop inks, cutting mat on which are two attempts with a 3D embossing folder and wax – not at all successful!, wax pots all neatly lined up, stick and spray, scissors etc., acrylic blocks, a pile of stamps and papers, and embossing powder. Fading into the distance beyond the edge of the chair you can see that most of my drawers are out of the cabinet and on the floor. The shelf almost looks neat – well, everything is relative!
The reason for this chaos? here’s a couple of examples…
One of the 16 thank you cards I made and wrote from my brother and myself to all the folk who gave of themselves at my dad’s funeral and provided us all with an incredible meal!
One of the cards for the hotel – using sparkly texture paste.
And one of the Christmas cards I have done for them.
So that’s me this week folks. Untidy, but hopefully by Friday, reasonably organised! I shall be away for the next two weeks – missing in action as it were, but I will do my best to visit as many as possible today. Thank you to everyone who visited last week, and left such beautiful comments – I managed to visit you all, but couldn’t comment on two or three – sorry.
Take care my friends. God bless.
Margaret

Well, a Pergamano course. You are adept at this craft so I am expecting to see wonderful things on your return. I am sure you will so enjoy it and then delights to come. Family! What could be better? Stay safe and enjoy, I saw that you visited with Shoshi, so that would have been lovely for the two of you. God Bless Neet xxxx

Just a trial to see what happens when typing in – so many have commented this week that the page jumps and pictures disappear – a bit like I commented on April’s post. Nothing happening here, so not sure what was going on

Hi Margaret, it’s always the same before going on holiday but I’ve learned to just accept that if it isn’t done before it will be done after – or maybe there will be no need to do it then 🙂 Your desk looks fine to me and your cards are gorgeous. Have a wonderful time. Hugs, Elizabeth x #28

Hi Margaret, thanks for the return visit! Yes, it took your impending visit to make me get off my backside and tidy the studio! You would not have been impressed with how it was before, and you wouldn’t have found a square inch to do anything!! I’m soooo looking forward to Saturday! I’ll email you about food etc. Safe journey and I hope you really enjoy your time away. Shoshi #3

Such a busy desk – and it reminds me of the fact that I should clean my stencils properly one of these days (I usually put them back in the folder with paint on it.) And yes, when I go away my to-take-and-to-do list grows longer every minute too… I hope you get everything done and have a wonderful time! Happy woyww and a hug from Holland, Marit #16

Well, was going to start by saying – congrats on being number one, what happened? Couldn’t you sleep!!! I can now understand why you are up and about early ….. hope you remember to pack the main essentials and have a really good time. I have a parchment swap next month, which will be interesting as I have only mastered the basics …. and that was years ago!! Christine #10

Well, I must say I envy you that lovely long workbench – so much space to spread out on! I love the thank you cards, especially that lovely ‘Many Thanks’ die cut circle – what a lovely die. I hope you have a wonderful time away and enjoy your crafty visits. Have a great fortnight, Diana x #9 PS everytime I type a letter in the comment box it automatically scrolls up so I can’t see what I’m doing – I’ve typed this blind and wonder if anyone else is having the same problem – I can’t understand it!

Hello dear Margaret. I am sorry that I couldn’t join in and comment last week. What a wonderful time we had at the Crop and the food was so yummy. DH and I stayed on in Wales and from Tues on wards no internet 🙁 never mind though we had a wonderful break. I did keep an eye open for you when I was in Llandudno again. Walked past your delightful church, there were a few cars parked and I did wonder if you were inside. Your desk is not too bad really. Love the Christmas card you have made for the hotel. I so enjoyed meeting you. Have a lovely holiday. Anne x #4

Your desk doesn’t look too bad to me, Margaret. I’ve been living with a lot worse for weeks, but you will be pleased to hear that in advance of your much anticipated visit, I spent yesterday evening tidying the whole studio! I scarcely recognise it. Can’t wait to see you again. Happy WOYWW, Shoshi #3
