Happy 8th WOYWW Anniversary

Who would have believed when Julia started this fun blog hop that it would still be going strong after 8 years. Congratulations to everyone – and thanks to Julia! So, hello my friends and welcome. Without further ado – what we are all here for… my desk shot! If you are of a nervous disposition, then maybe you shouldn’t look too closely!

Taken Tuesday afternoon after a mammoth card fest – nothing tidied away, everything out. From left to right – a music CD on the floor at the top of the stairs. I’ve been going through all our CDs to see which ones are me and which are not – sitting on the floor means it is not, and so will head to the nearest charity shop. On top of the radiator is a pile of envelopes – the ATCs already spoken for. If you would still like to swap with me just say so in your comments and send me an email to margaret(dot)diddanfa(at)gmail(dot)com. I have three spare. First come first served.

Moving along the landing there is my CD player, drawers on the floor – that’s my drawer of bling, a drawer of stamps, and one of ready to fold card stock, 2 boxes of ribbon – well, a girl can never have too much ribbon can she?? and the waste bin.

Up on the desk, from the window forward – a box of embossing folders, a bow maker, a stash of coloured card and paper, a printer which needs checking out, the card, paper, stamps and peel-offs I have just used, mobile phone, glasses, cards I have just finished for the hotel (yes, MORE!), scissors, inks, brushes, and a background I was playing with using brushos. Not at all sure about it – my first attempt with watercolour paper. In the distance on the windowsill are a couple of sad looking orchid plants and my collection of cut glass and silver perfume bottles and thimbles.

So, what have I been doing to produce such chaos? Well, ATCs, cards to go with them, cards for the hotel, and since taking the photo I have played with a tiny die for making a rather attractive gift bag – might think about how to use that in different ways… I have almost completed another blanket of squarish squares, have taken a day out to drive to Rugby to see my dad who is definitely not too well, and spent time recovering from all the talking with my college friends!

So, that’s me. folks. Happy WOYWW anniversary to you all.

Take care. God bless.

I didn’t have acces to a computer last couple of days so I’m very, VERY late visiting desks and celebrating the 8th anniversary… anyway, here I am and wowzah, does your desk look busy… sorting out CDs, that’s something I need to do too… and I love all the brightness on your desk. Thanks for visiting my blog last week, it’s so nice to be part of this lovely group of crafters. Hooray, hooray and on to another year of ‘desking’ and crafting! Hug from Holland, Marit #29

I like your workdesk, hiving with activity. your sales are going very well indeed, fantastic for you. I didn’t mind covering yup those letters, they were just a starting point which led to the next thing and that to the next thing, but this is something I hav elearned over the years, layers are what I like. Nice to see a slightly different view of your desk this week, Margaret – lovely lot of space and so full of exciting activities! It looks a nice bright space to work in. Thank you for your lovely comment – yes, last week really was OTT activity wise and I paid the price for that, but it was worth it in spades. Things are slightly less hectic now. Thank you for your kind words about Phoebe. Beatrice is missing her and pining, so we are trying to give her lots of love and reassurance. I am so glad you liked the cards I made for my hubby – they came out pretty well considering how little time I had and had to rush them through! Happy belated WOYWW, Shoshi #47

Always lovely to see your hub of activity. Sometimes we need to have mammoth card fest to keep the supplies satisfied. Although I spent 2 hours and only got 2 and half cards made. wasted so much time faffing around. Thanks for visiting and happy woyww. sandra de @27

Happy Anniversary! I have to say..those big puffy stipple brushes at the end of the line look mighty fine! I use the US version of Brushos, Colorburst, and they can be quite fun; you just have to realize you have little to no control on how they flow, unless you actually paint with them. Have a great day! -K #39

Hi Margaret, loved having a poke around on your desk! How wonderful the Hotel cards are selling so well. I have to admit that I was really annoyed, not so much over it being cancelled, as there are clearly people who are a higher priority for assessment than me- but because they have their MDT meeting on a Tuesday, which means he’d known for a week almost that they hadn’t discussed me, so could have let me know sooner. But still, it is what it is. I’ll be putting my ATC’s in the post probably tomorrow, so it’ll be winging it’s way to you soon. Have a lovely week, Love and hugs,Shaz #7 XxX

Busy bee! I always know you will have been busy, you do such a lot of good works and beautiful work too. I still have my triangular box and cherish it. Hope your dad is soon feeling better, sending love and prayers. My prayer list is overflowing now, especially with the events in Manchester which has left me saying “Why?” Of course I would love to do a swap with you so an atc will be in the post when I get it done. Looks like you have a big clean-up ahead of you. I just did one last week. But I’m not as crafty as you, so my desk wasn’t quite that bad. Ah, to have a die cutter! Happy 8th Anniversary from # 1.
